Low-Income Housing for Artists

Status: Looking for sites

A number of groups around the city are working on HUD or Low-Income Tax Credit housing developments for income-eligible artists. A model for this kind of development is the Armory Art Project in Jackson, MI. The Director of that Arts Incubator and Live/Perform/Work space is part of our Strategy Team. Our partners in this concept include:

• Mosaic Youth Theater
• MSHDA
• Southwest Solutions

TThe North End or Woodbridge communities appear very promising sites.
